Osamu Akimoto (秋本 治, Akimoto Osamu) is a Japanese manga artist born on December 11, 1952 in Katsushika, Tokyo. He is best known for his long-running series Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo, which has been continuously published in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1976. With over 1800 chapters collected into 194 tankōbon volumes, it is the manga series with the highest number of volumes.
