Paula Dean Broadwell (née Kranz; born November 9, 1972) is an American writer, academic and former military officer.Broadwell is known for her role in the extramarital affair that ended the career of David Petraeus as the director of the CIA. Broadwell sent anonymous threats to Dr. Scott Kelley and his wife Jill, a woman with military and diplomatic connections, who reported the threats to authorities.
