Peter Harris (born 1934) has a stake worth £360m in Hemel Hempstead-based Bourne Leisure, which he founded in 1964 and of which he remains chairman. The Sunday Times Rich List estimated in 2011 that his worth was £400m which placed him at 200th on the list.In 1977, he began to buy up land at Tring in Hertfordshire, where he trained racehorses until 2004. For the next seven years, the training licence was held by his son-in-law Walter Swinburn.
