Pin Point is an unincorporated community in Chatham County, Georgia, in the United States; it is located 18 km (11 mi) southeast of Savannah, Georgia. Pin Point is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area.The town is best known as the birthplace of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on 23 June 1948.A rural settlement founded by freed slaves after the American Civil War, Pin Point is 1.6 km (0.99 mi) wide and 2.5 km (1.6 mi) long.
