Pittsburgh Press (formerly known as The Pittsburg Press) is an online newspaper in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US, currently owned and operated by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Historically, it was a major afternoon paper until 1992 when it ceased paper publication. It was one of many competing city newspapers published prior to the First World War including The Hearst Corporation owned Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph, the Pittsburgh Dispatch, and the Block Communications owned Post-Gazette.
