The pterygoid plexus (/ˈtɛrɪɡɔɪd/; from Greek χυμός teryx, "wing" and eidos, "shape") is a venous plexus of considerable size, and is situated between the temporalis muscle and lateral pterygoid muscle, and partly between the two pterygoid muscles.
