The aircrew of RAF Bomber Command flew the RAF's bombers during World War II. They were all volunteers, primarily young men from Great Britain and the Commonwealth, supplemented by volunteers from other nations, many occupied by Germany, notably the Polish.In total 364,514 operational sorties were flown and 8,325 aircraft lost in action.
