Reinhold Richard "Reince" Priebus (/ˌraɪns ˈpriːbəs/ RYNS PREE-bəs; born March 18, 1972) is an American attorney and politician who is currently the chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC).He had previously served as RNC general counsel, and is the former chairman of the Wisconsin Republican Party, where he is credited with helping to bring nationally known figures such as congressman Paul Ryan and governor Scott Walker into power on the state level, and into prominence on the national stage.
