The Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR) (Spanish Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria) is a Chilean political organization and former far-left guerrilla organization founded on October 12, 1965. At its height in 1973, the MIR numbered some 10,000 members and associates. The group emerged from various student organizations, mainly from the University of Concepción (led by Miguel Enríquez), that had originally been active in the youth organization of the Socialist Party.
