Rhamdia is a genus of three-barbeled catfishes found in Mexico, and Central and South America.Rhamdia catfishes are nocturnal, opportunistic carnivores. This genus includes a number of troglobitic members, encompassing a number of taxa, including R. quelen, R. laticauda, R. reddelli, R. macuspanensis, R. laluchensis, and R. enfurnada.
