Richard Thomas "Rick" Metsger is a Democratic politician who served in the Oregon State Senate from 1999 to 2011. On May 16, 2013, President Barack Obama nominated Metsger to serve as one of three voting members of the Board of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent federal agency that oversees the United States’ credit union system, which has more than $1 trillion in assets.
