Rosh yeshiva (Hebrew: ראש ישיבה; pl. Heb. Roshei yeshiva; Yeshivish: Rosh yeshivahs), is the title given to the dean of a Talmudical academy (yeshiva). It is made up of the Hebrew words rosh — meaning head, and yeshiva — a school of religious Jewish education.
