Sajjad Shahid Afghani (died 10 March 2011) was a leader of the Pakistan-based jihadi organization Jaish e Mohammed.After the Soviet war in Afghanistan, Afghani became the leader of the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen. After the end of his leadership, he became one of the founders of the Jaish e Mohammed, eventually becoming their second in command under Maulana Masood Azhar. Following several kidnapping incidents and shootouts, Sajjad Afghani became the most wanted militant in Srinagar.
