The Saudi–Iraq barrier is a fortified border barrier built by Saudi Arabia along its border with Iraq. The barrier was proposed in 2006, and was constructed in 2014 following the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in Iraq. The barrier is sometimes referred to as the Great Wall of Saudi Arabia.
