Schönberg is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated on the Baltic Sea coast, approx. 17 km northeast of the state capital Kiel, and 26 km north of Plön. The formerly unincorporated town, became a part of the Probstei district on January 1, 2008, which already had its seat in Schönberg.Schönberg, Neuschönberg, Schönberger Beach, Brasilien (meaning Brazil), California and Holm lie in the municipality.
