Shabu-shabu (しゃぶしゃぶ, , also spelled shyabu-shyabu) is a Japanese dish featuring thinly sliced beef boiled in water. The term is an onomatopœia, derived from the sound emitted when the ingredients are stirred in the cooking pot.
