Sherman was a suburban line of the Pacific Electric Railway, originally built in 1896 as part of the Pasadena and Pacific. Pasadena and Pacific became part of the Los Angeles Pacific Railroad. The line ran between Downtown Los Angeles and the suburb of Sherman (present-day) West Hollywood. The line is named after Moses Sherman, who built the line and built Sherman street car yard on the line in West LA.
