Shisō (宍粟市, Shisō-shi) is a city in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan.The modern city of Shisō was established on April 1, 2005, from the merger of four towns from Shisō District: Chikusa, Haga, Ichinomiya, and Yamasaki.As of January 31, 2012 census data, the city has an estimated population of 42,362, with 14,420 households and a population density of 64 persons per km². The total area is 658.60 km².Shisō is the sister city of Sequim, Washington, U.S.A.
