Shukhalata Rao (Bengali: সুখলতা রাও)(1886–1969) was a Bengali social worker and children's book author. Born in Kolkata in the Bengal province of British India, she was the daughter of Upendra Kishore Roychowdhury, and sister of Sukumar Ray. She studied in Bethune College, and obtained a Bachelor's degree. Later she had a career in teaching. She got married to Dr. Jayanta Rao of Cuttack.
