Sir Simon David Jenkins FSA FRSL (born 10 June 1943) is an English newspaper columnist, editor and author. He is the son of Daniel Thomas Jenkins (1914–2002), theologian and United Reformed Church minister.Since November 2008, he has been chairman of the National Trust. He writes columns for both The Guardian and London's Evening Standard.
