Sinap is a village in Erdemli district of Mersin Province, Turkey. The village is situated in the peneplane area to the north of Çukurova (Cilicia) plains at 36°48′N 34°20′E. The distance to Erdemli is 28 kilometres (17 mi) and the distance to Mersin was 44 kilometres (27 mi). The population of the village was 155. as of 2012. The name of the village probably means "underwater".
