St. Bonaventure University is a private, Franciscan Catholic university, located in Allegany, Cattaraugus County, New York, United States within the Diocese of Buffalo. It has roughly 2,400 undergraduate and graduate students. The university was established by the Franciscan Brothers in 1858.
