Tahia Kazem (Arabic: تحية كاظم) (1 March 1920 – 25 March 1992) was the First Lady of Egypt from 23 June 1956 to 28 September 1970. She married former President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1944.Kazem's father, Kazem Baghdadi, was an Iranian clerk. Kazem's mother was Egyptian. Nasser received the approval of her father and the Kazrouni Bey, the honorary leader of Egypt's Iranian community, before their marriage in 1944.
