Takestan (Tati: Siyâdən ,سیادن; Persian: تاكستان, also Romanized as Tākestān and Tākistān; formerly, Seyādahan, Sīādehan, Sīahdehān, Siakh-Degen, and Siakhdekhan) is a city in and the capital of Takestan County, in Qazvin Province, Iran. At the 2011 census its population was 120,907.Takestan has a railway station on the Teheran-Tabriz line. The name Takestan literally means place of vine-yards. Takestan is a Tat city.
