The talwar (pronounced [t̪əlʋaːr]) is a type of curved sword or sabre from the Indian Subcontinent, and is found in the modern countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Afghanistan. The word is also spelled talwaar and tulwar.
