Tessa Pollitt (born 1 January 1959) is an English musician who was the bass guitarist for the punk rock outfit The Slits, between 1976 and 1981, when the band first split up.During the 80s, Pollitt lived in Africa.She married Sean Oliver and has a daughter with him. Oliver died in 1990.She returned to the band when it was reformed in 2006.Pollitt had replaced the band's original bassist, Suzy Gutsy, who left after only a few weeks in tenure in 1976.
