The Gorilla is an American play written by playwright Ralph Spence, which played on Broadway for 15 performances in April and May 1925. The original title was The Gorilla: A Mystery Comedy. It was turned into the 1927 silent film of the same name, and was filmed again in 1930 and 1939, the latter as a vehicle for The Ritz Brothers, but containing Patsy Kelly's favorite of her performances, in which she acted opposite Bela Lugosi.
