Thomas Petters Carnes (born in Bladensburg, Prince George's County, Maryland 1762 – died Milledgeville, GA, May 5, 1822) served as a colonel in the Maryland Line during the American Revolution and received bounty land in Franklin County, GA for his service. He was an American lawyer and politician from Franklin County, Georgia.
