Thorvald Bindesbøll (21 July 1846 in Copenhagen – 27 August 1908 in Frederiksberg) was a Danish architect. He was one of Denmark's most important architects at the turn of the twentieth century. To the rest of the world, he is best known as the creator of the Carlsberg label, which has remained unchanged since it was introduced.He was born into an architectural family; he was the son of Michael Gottlieb Bindesbøll.
