The Three Mountain Problem was a task developed by Jean Piaget IPA: /ʒɑ̃ pjaʒɛ/, a Swiss developmental psychologist. Piaget came up with a theory for developmental psychology based on cognitive development. Cognitive development, according to his theory, took place in four stages.
