Tsetse (/ˈsiːtsi/, US /ˈtsiːtsi/, or UK /ˈtsɛtsi/), sometimes spelled tzetze and also known as tik-tik flies, are large biting flies that inhabit much of mid-continental Africa between the Sahara and the Kalahari deserts.
