Tyre is a town in Seneca County, New York, United States. The population was 981 at the 2010 census. The town is named after the Lebanese city of Tyre.The Town of Tyre is located in the northeastern part of the county, northeast of Geneva, New York. It has a hamlet, also called Tyre. Government offices for the Town of Tyre are at locations within the general vicinity of the hamlet as there is currently no 'official' town hall.
