Ucluelet /juːˈkluːlɨt/ is a district municipality (population about 1,627) on the Ucluelet Peninsula on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Ucluelet means "people of the safe harbour" in the indigenous Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) language.
