Vathy (Greek: Βαθύ, Vathý) is a town and a former municipality on the island of Samos, North Aegean, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Samos, of which it is a municipal unit. It is the capital and main town of the island. The municipal unit comprises numerous towns, villages, and settlements, but its two largest are Samos (town) (pop. 6,191 in 2011), and Vathy (pop. 1,888).
