Victor Batiuk (Ukrainian: Віктор Гаврилович Батюк) (1939, Chelyabinsk Oblast - 1996) he was Ukrainian diplomat and poet, who has served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations. He was the only one who knew Bengali and translated Rabindranath Tagore into Ukrainian.
