Volksdeutscher Selbstschutz (German: ethnic self-defense or self-protection) also known as Selbstschutz battalions were a paramilitary organisation consisting of ethnic German Volksdeutsche mobilized from among the German minority in Poland. Volksdeutscher Selbstschutz operated before and during World War II in the Second Polish Republic.
