Walter Bumby (born 26 October 1860 — death registered October→December 1936 (aged 76)) Pendlebury, Lancashire, was a rugby union footballer of the 1880s and '90s, playing at representative level for British Isles, and Lancashire, and at club level for Swinton (Captain), as a Half-back, his death was registered in Barton-upon-Irwell, Lancashire. Prior to Tuesday 2 June 1896, Swinton were a rugby union club.
