Wei-Shou Hu is a Taiwanese-American chemical engineer. He earned his B.S. in Agricultural Chemistry from National Taiwan University in 1974 and his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the guidance of Arnold Demain in 1983.
