Will Shafroth was a candidate in the Democratic primary to replace Mark Udall in Colorado's 2nd congressional district in 2008. Will is a fourth-generation Coloradan and the great-grandson of one of Colorado Governor John Shafroth, a man who was the principal author in the U.S. House of the Antiquities Act, which gives the President the authority to set aside lands for conservation and cultural resource preservation purposes, as well as the establishment of Rocky Mountain National Park.
