William Grant Diering (born May 7, 1986 in Sandton, Gauteng) is a South African swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. Diering posted his record of 2:06.85 to earn a bronze in the 200 m breaststroke at the 2008 FINA World Short Course Championships in Manchester, England.Diering qualified for the men's 200 m breaststroke at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by breaking a new South African record and clearing a FINA A-standard entry time of 2:11.88 from the national championships.
