Yves Daccord (born in 1964 in Zürich, Switzerland) is the Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Directorate.Daccord earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Geneva. He was a TV journalist at the Télévision Suisse Romande in Geneva and producer.He joined the ICRC in 1992. In 1997, he became deputy head of the Division for the Promotion of International Humanitarian Law.
