It was opened in February 1938.The LF stands for Lambing Flats and broadcasts on the AM dial on 1350 kiloHertz and a power of 5 kilowatts - more than double the power of neighbouring radio stations 2WG Wagga Wagga, 2GN Goulburn, 2PK Parkes, 2CC and 2CA, all of which use 2kW of power.
