The 615th Contingency Response Wing, redesignated from the 615th Air Mobility Operations Group on April 11, 2005, was one of two Contingency Response Wings (CRW) assigned to the U.S. Air Force's Air Mobility Command. Headquartered at Travis Air Force Base, California, the primary mission was to employ rapidly deployable cross-functional teams to quickly open forward airbases in an expeditionary environment.
