Aabenraa Municipality or Åbenrå Municipality (German: Apenrade) is a municipality (Danish: kommune) in Region of Southern Denmark in south-western Denmark. It has existed in its current form since 1 January 2007 following a merger of several smaller municipalities. The municipality has an area of 951 km² and a total population of 60,189 (2008). The main town and the site of its municipal council is the city of Aabenraa.
