Adeline Hazan (born 21 January 1956 in Paris) is a French politician, who was one of the Members of the European Parliament for the east of France from 1999 to 2008, and mayor of Reims from March 2008 to April 2014.She is a member of the Socialist Party, which is part of the Party of European Socialists, and used to sit on the European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs.She is also a substitute for the Committee on Legal Affairs, a member of the delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries, a member of the delegation to the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, and a substitute for the delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union.She was elected mayor of Reims in March 2008 thanks to the lack of unity of right parties.
