Alasdair MacLean (born June 2, 1974) is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of the British musical group The Clientele. They are signed to Merge Records.Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, MacLean graduated with a First-class honours degree in Literature from Edinburgh University before forming the band. He currently lives in London. MacLean is also a fine art painter.The Clientele announced an indefinite hiatus on their website in July 2011.
