Algansee Township is a civil township of Branch County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 1,974.There are no incorporated municipalities in the primarily agricultural township. The only concentrated settlement is the unincorporated community of Algansee, located at 41°49′57″N 84°52′51″W. Algansee was first settled in 1836.Notable people from Algansee Township include Raymond Culver, fourth president of Shimer College in Chicago.
