Anatoly Pavlovich Shapiro (Russian: Анатолий Павлович Шапиро, Ukrainian: Анатолій Павлович Шапіро, 18 January 1913 - 8 October 2005), was a Ukrainian-born Jewish soldier of the Army of the Soviet Union, who lead the first elements of the advancing army into the Nazi-developed Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland, during the latter stages of World War II.
