The founders were introduced to the opportunity by Prof. Gunter Pauli, founder of The Blue Economy during his guest lecture at Berkeley University. BTTR Ventures collects over 6000 lbs of coffee grounds weekly from Peet's Coffee & Tea and Bay Area to use as the substrate for growing gourmet oyster mushrooms.
