Baneh (Persian: بانه‎‎; Kurdish: بانه‌‎‎, Bane; also Romanized as Bāneh) is a city and capital of Baneh County, Kurdistan Province, in Iran's western border. Baneh is neighbour saqqez, marivan, sardasht and Iraqi Kurdistan. According to the 2011 census, the city has a population of 90, 304 after the cities of Sanandaj, Marivan, Saqqez is the fourth largest city in Kurdistan province and 109th in Iran. Baneh is one of the sites that still have their unique forests.
